Taking the step of
faith to ask God to come into your life and take control is not
easy, and once you have, you may have all kinds of questions you'd
like answered. What is God really like? Who was Jesus? How does the
Holy Spirit fit into the picture?
Following on from
Godsearch and Godfound, through these meditations
Eleanor Watkins puts into words answers to some of these questions
which may help on your journey with God.
FOREWORD
This book was written for all those young (or even older) people who
have recently decided to ask God to come into their lives and take
control.
If this is
you, congratulations! It's not easy to make this step of faith, and
it takes courage! You may be from a church background or you may
have no experience of Christian things at all. Suddenly a whole new
world has opened up. Probably there are lots of Christians trying to
help you, advise you and encourage you. They may seem overwhelming
at times, but don't be put off. They're over the moon that you've
joined them, and they're the kind of people who'll stick by you and
help you out in all kinds of ways when you need it. The Christian
life can be tough and challenging, but it's a great adventure and
you'll have a lot of fun along the way.
You may
suddenly have all kinds of questions you'd like answered, about God
and about life. What is God really like? Who is Jesus? And what's
this talk you're hearing about a Holy Spirit?
In these
meditations, I've tried to put into words answers to some of the
thoughts and questions that might be in the mind of a new Christian.
We're all traveling the same road, learning as we go. I hope that
this might help someone along the new pathway they've chosen as they
go with God.
