The Hymnmaker series has, in
the past, concentrated on the hymn writers rather than the
composers. We could not, however, let the centenary of
Sullivan's death pass without acknowledging the tremendous debt we
owe to him and his genius in matching words with appropriate times
so that the effect of the whole is greater than the sum of the two
parts. Let the music of Arthur Seymour Sullivan flood your
soul as he etches in your memories the words of some great
hymnmakers.
